About RiskHaus
Yes. RiskHaus Insurance Brokers Ltd holds a valid insurance brokers licence issued by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). Our licence is renewed annually. You can verify our status directly on the NAICOM portal at any time.
An insurance broker represents you, the client. We shop the entire market across multiple insurance companies to find you the best coverage at the most competitive price and represent you during claims. An insurance company only sells its own products and cannot give truly independent advice.
RiskHaus earns a brokerage commission paid by insurers when we place business with them. This commission is built into the premium and does not cost you anything additional. We disclose our remuneration arrangements transparently on request.
Yes. As a NAICOM-licensed broker, RiskHaus operates a designated Client Account completely separate from our own funds. Premium payments are held in trust and remitted directly to the insurer. You are fully protected by Nigerian insurance regulation.
Getting a Quote & Buying Insurance
Personal lines quotes (motor, travel, home) are typically provided within one hour of request. Commercial and corporate quotes take 24-48 hours as we approach multiple insurers for the best terms available in the market.
Documents vary by type but typically include: valid ID (NIN, International Passport, or Driver Licence), proof of address, and asset-specific details. For motor: vehicle registration. For property: building documents. For business: CAC registration.
Yes. We offer quarterly and bi-annual payment arrangements for qualifying business clients. Please discuss your payment preferences with your relationship manager when requesting a quote.

Claims

Simple personal lines claims can be settled within 5-10 business days. Complex commercial claims may take 30-90 days. Our team will give you a realistic timeline assessment and proactively work to expedite settlement at every stage.
If an insurer declines your claim, we never simply accept that outcome. We review the rejection in detail, challenge it formally, and engage specialist legal counsel where necessary. Our 98% claims success rate reflects our tenacious advocacy.
No. As your broker, we handle all communications with the insurer, loss adjuster, and any other parties on your behalf. You deal with us, and we deal with everyone else – an expert advocate at every stage who knows your policy inside out.
Renewals & Policy Management
Yes. Your dedicated relationship manager will contact you at least 30 days before your renewal date to review your coverage needs and shop the market for the most competitive renewal terms. We make renewal simple and proactive.
Yes. Policies can typically be amended mid-term via an endorsement to reflect changes in your assets, business or risk profile. Additional premium may be charged or a refund issued on a pro-rata basis.
You can cancel your policy at any time. Depending on the insurer and policy type, you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of premium. We handle the cancellation process and ensure you receive any refund you are owed promptly.
